Death of Councillor Penny Smith

We regret to announce the death of friend and colleague, Epping Forest Conservative Coucillor Penny Smith

Eleanor Laing MP said: “I am shocked and very, very sad at the awful news that Cllr Penny Smith has died.

“It is tragic to lose someone so young and with so much to live for.  Penny had a unique combination of political conviction; strength; sharp wit; wicked sense of humour; courage; devotion to duty; loyalty to friends; feminine style and happy good nature. 

“She was well respected and very well liked.  I will miss her as a political colleague but even more so as a friend.”
